"Curtain Up! Light the Lights!" is part of Men Alive's 5th Anniversary celebration. Although each season we perform many genres of music from classical to pop, the material on this CD is special to us. The music of Broadway is the music of America, which has not only entertained, but since its beginnings has made statements for equality and justice, helping free our society from the shackles of bigotry and oppression. Broadway continues to do that today. So with this music, we pay tribute to Broadway for what its writers, producers, directors, technical crews and performers have done for us.
